The aim of this project was to develop the best and most clear explanation of how heterogeneous catalysis works in practice. Research consortium MCEC wanted to create this video so they can easily get everybody to have a basic understanding of catalytic systems in presentations about their research. As a bonus this video could be perfect for high-school chemistry lessons.
Heterogeneous catalysis is an inherently multi-scale process. Everything - from the circumstances in the reactor tank to the atom placement in the catalytic material - has to be just right in order for the desired catalytic reaction to occur in the most efficient way.
The animation gives an overview of all scale levels and the way they each influence the catalytic process.
Do you have a complex project that could use some visual clarity? And do you like what you see? Get in touch to see whether an explainer animation like this is the way to make your work stand out.
